Get your spine assessed!
This one-day-only workshop is designed for students with scoliosis. Yoga poses offer relief with the use of traction, props, and relaxation to alleviate pain and discomfort. The focus of this workshop is on lengthening the spine, de-rotation of the curve and reducing compensatory patterns standing, sitting, and lying down. Learn to deepen your breath in all poses.
DL will assess your spine curvature and map your curve, then apply her teachings to classic yoga poses adjusted for your specific curve pattern. All levels are welcome, from new yoga students to teachers.
Students who attend this workshop will be ready to register for the weekly specialty class series called Yoga for Scoliosis which meets on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8pm from August 30 - October 25, 2016.
